Circular route through the passes of Mendola, Tonale and Stelvio

What we offer is a circular route that will please all lovers of the mountain ride. It is also one of the most challenging routes that can be accomplished by starting from the hotel, but be sure that the effort will be rewarded by the beauty and variety of landscapes that you will cross.

To start your trip, leave the hotel and take the state road in the direction of Bolzano. A few kilometers later, at the Maximode mall, turn left. Here is the beginning of the first ascent of the day, that leads to the Mendola Pass.

Thanks to the curves of this route, so much loved both by cyclists and by bikers, in a short time you will ride up to over a thousand meters above sea level. The climb will give you a magnificent view of the Adige Valley and the peaks of Latemar and Lagorai in the background.

Once you reach the pass, proceed along the Non Valley with its orchards. Go up to Cles from where you will start to ride up again by following the road that crosses the Sole Valley and climbs high up to the Tonale Pass.

At this point, you can not help but go downhill in Lombardia towards the town of Bormio. Once you have reached it, climb up again in order to arrive at the Stelvio Pass – the last pass of your trip.

Now you are surrounded by the majestic bulk of the Ortler with its unforgettable summits. Once you have reached the pass, you can go down to Silandro and back to the hotel by following the Venosta Valley in the direction of  Merano, and from here, take the MEBO highway to complete this challenging ride, more than 300 kilometers long.
