A circular route to the discovery of the pearl of the Dolomites

If you are determined and riding in the mountains is not a problem for you, then this route will give you great satisfaction, as it will take you through some of the most distinctive landscapes of South Tyrol.

Start your trip by heading towards Bolzano and then towards Bressanone. While crossing the Isarco Valley, pay attention to the signs for the Gardena Valley. You will have to take the road that runs through this famous valley of the Dolomites, that will lead you up to the Gardena Pass.

Along the ascent, you will be accompanied by the profiles of the Sassolungo and the Sella Ronda, that you can admire once you reach the pass. But don’t dwelt for too long, because this is just the first stop-over of your journey.

So put yourselves back on your wheels and go towards the Pordoi Pass, from which you will go down to Livinallongo to climb up again in the direction of the Falzarego Pass. At this point, you are already in Veneto and are brushing the confines of the Fanes Sennes Braies park, that appears on your left.

From Falzarego, you can head towards Cortina and have a relaxing stroll through the pearl of the Dolomites. But also here, try not to linger too much, because the ride is far from being over.

Restart in the direction of Lake Misurina and look in the mirror of its waters, protected by the benevolent gaze of the Three Peaks of Lavoredo. Then proceed in the direction of Dobbiaco and from there go down the Puster Valley to reach Bressanone and return to the hotel via Bolzano.
